-For the first 48 hours after your wax avoid working out, excessive sweating, and sexual activity. -Take a shower the night of your appointment with lukewarm water and cleanse with a gentle antibacterial soap. -Redness, swelling, and bumps are totally normal and are all symptoms of a common histamine reaction. This typically subsides within 24-48 hours. -Wear cotton underwear and loose fitting clothing to let your skin breathe. -After 48 hours, exfoliate about 3x/week. We recommend using a dry brush and exfoliating before your shower, then cleansing with a gentle water based cleanser. - If you experience ingrown hairs, try not to touch them. Just keep exfoliating and let the hairs come to the surface of the skin. We will extract what we can at your next appointment. Our estheticians can also make personalized product recommendations for prevention of ingrowns.
